My Reflection on the Learning Community

My reflection on the learning community is quite unexpecting. The reason why I said was because I didn't think it would be all fun besides that being my first year in that class. At the beginning, I thought I would do alright in that class a fresh start, my brain being rebooted and learn old school skills. But when I start getting evergreen and effective reader homework, my brain starts going all crazy. It was confusing on the evergreen because I thought the instructions wouldn't have the examples. Today, I still think I wouldn't be able to pass the class except for EN001. I'm going to try to use some of the skills that I have in my disposal such as annotating or my vocabulary skills. It has been a long road during my first year in college even though doing this blog is fun and making me reflect my entire life as part of the learning community. That's it for me, its time for me to fight the good fight on this class or fail trying.

What did I learned from King Corn and Chew on This

In King Corn, I learn that in Colorado the people produce obeise animals. I also learned that corn syrup can have an affect on people such as diabetes. Along that drinking soda may risk diabetes.
In Chew on This, McDonald's bought fresh beef from 175 local companies (pg. 161). What I can do to prevent this is too be careful on drinking soda and don't eat at McDonald's. For some people might be hard to not eat at McDonald's.

FOODS

On November 4, 2009, I ate peanut butter and jelly sandwhich, snickers, fruit cup, potato chips, water, pizza and animal crackers. Today, I have tea, chicken, rice, water, animal crackers, hersheys and juice. Those are the foods that I ate today and yesterday.

Double Deuce 2

In chapter 28 on Double Deuce, Jackie told Spenser that the kids were being murdered. Here's what I think Spenser's motivation why he cares for the kids:

"Who has been killing those kids? I don't want to stand by while those kids died. If we do other children will suffer the same fate. Either way I think there is something we can do. We just have to find the murderer. I will find the killer or die trying."

Double Deuce

So far on me reading Double Deuce is that I like that the whole story is a mystery because when I was reading it on the first part of the book, I spot that there was a murder which it interests me because I wonder who murder what, I don't know the characters yet who the major or the minor ones. I did spot some but I don't know all of them yet either way it is a great book.

My Spare Time

In my spare time I sometimes read comic books such as X-men or Batman. I'm trying to get back on reading some when my dad got them at the library. I barely get the chance of reading them because I had to keep up with my grades. Thats what I do in my spare time, sometimes.

My Tradition

My tradition is during thanksgiving my family and I usually gather around at a table and eat. My dad usually does the cooking. We eat turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, greens, cranberry sauce and sometimes mash potatoes with macaroni. Before my eat, we said our prayers. After that we eat. Sometimes me and my family talk about current things. That is the tradition.

How real is reality TV?

I don't watch that much reality T.V in my life, but the T.V show I think that is probably real is hells kitchen because when I sometimes run in to that show, I see those contestants working their sorry butts off for a stupid prize. I don't know if that is a reality T.V show. In my opinion I think Hells kitchen is a really dumb show for someone who wants to take on the challenge. No offense, but Hells kitchen would have people go crazy for someone to yell at them. But still it is fun to see the humiliation on the contestants. As a X-play fan off of the G4 channel, I give Hells Kitchen 2 explosive arguements out of 5.

My thoughts on music

The type of music that I sometimes listen to is metal. The reason why I listened to that type of music is because the music is so energetic it gives you that pumped up feeling. For example, the band that I like is slipknot because some of their songs are so energetic. That is my thought on music.

My thoughts of TV.

The TV that I watched is all about cartoons. I watched certain cartoons such as ED,EDD, and EDDY, Tom and Jerry, Looney Toons or Penguins of Madagascar. When I watch these shows not only it was funny, but when I watched them I feel like I'm in the storyline. Another channel that I watch on TV is called G4. I watched G4 because some of the shows mainly talks about video games. For example, X-Play is a show that gives reviews about video games. It also do hands on demos, and gives you all access on the newest games that would this year.
